Practice FAQs

Where exactly is the practice in Kilmarnock?

We are based at 14 Portland Road, Kilmarnock. The practice is easily accessible from the one way system (A735) and is just beyond the Sheriff Court on your left hand side. If you are travelling from Troon/Syminton/Gatehead then travel along Dundonald Road and take a left at the traffic lights where before you head up John Finnie Street. The practice is a white building with external signage and is directly across from Boots the Pharmacy. The practice is walking distance from the town centre and is around a 3 minute walk from King Street.

What are the parking arrangements?

There is on street parking directly outside the practice. This parking is chargeable at £X with no return within the hour. There is normally spaces available on either side of the street. If you wish to park for longer, there is car park on Portland Road just beyond Portland Surgery. This parking is chargeable at £X with no return within X hours.

Is the practice wheelchair accessible?

Yes, absolutely. While there are two small steps into the practice we have a temporary ramp that can be used to ensure access. Please notify the Kilmarnock practice in advance and we will ensure that the ramp is available and ready for your arrival. Once in the practice, all of our test rooms are on the ground floor. Please note that our Hearing Clinic is upstairs, although arrangements can be made for an appointment downstairs in one of our consultation rooms if required.

Is there a toilet available for use by the public?

Unfortunately not. We have no accessible toilet for use by any clients.

What public holidays is the practice closed?

We only close for Easter Weekend, Christmas and New Year. These dates are normally: Easter Saturday Easter Monday Christmas Eve Christmas Day Boxing Day New Years Eve New Years Day 2nd January
