We're delighted to launch our partnership with the Barbour Morrison Beach Volleyball team. Rachel and Katie from the team are both local to Ayrshire, living in Ayr and Troon, and compete professionally throughout the UK.
Both women have been playing Volleyball since school and moved onto Beach Volleyball at club level. Rachel and Katie started playing together last summer as a result of COVID-19 travel restrictions and having known each other for many years. During this time they realised they made a great team and could compete as a successful duo. Most recently the team won silver at their first competition together at the CEV SCA European Event. They were the highest ranking team in Scotland in any category in the competition!
At Urquharts being an active part of our community has always been important to us. COVID-19 has had an impact on this, like everything else - so we're always looking for ways to support local teams + groups. We're very happy to be supporting the Barbour Morrison team, we'll be proving them with custom Oakley sports eyewear and we'll keep everyone up to date with their journey...Commonwealth Games lookout!
